Research Professional News hears from strikers in London
Thousands of university staff from 150 universities have begun the latest round of strikes as part of the University and College Union’s disputes over pensions, pay and working conditions.
The UCU says more than 70,000 staff will take part in three days of walkouts, which began today and will continue tomorrow and on Wednesday 30 November. The strikes have been called in two separate disputes—one over pay and conditions, and the other over reforms to Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) pensions.
