UK research libraries lack leadership for EDI, finds survey

Only one in 10 research libraries surveyed has a senior leader for diversity issues

There are very few research libraries in the UK with senior leadership positions focused on equality, diversity and inclusion issues, according to a report by the group Research Libraries UK.

With EDI concerns increasingly at the fore across the research community, RLUK looked at recruitment practices across a sample of 10 UK institutions. The membership organisation is made up of 39 leading university and research libraries in the UK and Ireland.
