King crowns career with science diplomacy honour

David King wins AAAS prize for forcing politicians to take climate change seriously

A prominent UK chemist and international climate adviser has been given a prestigious prize for scientific diplomacy.

David King, a former government science adviser who is now the chair of the Independent Sage shadow advisory group, was given the 2022 David and Betty Hamburg Award from the American Association for the Advancement of Science, for his efforts to put climate change at the forefront of international policymaking.
