Higher degree class linked to ‘substantially’ higher earnings

IFS report says degree result could be more important than university

Higher degree classifications are associated with “substantially” higher earnings, according to research from the Institute for Fiscal Studies.

While degree classification can be “inconsequential” on earnings for some subjects, the IFS said it “may matter as much as university attended”.
