Cash for spinout companies jumps nearly 70 per cent in one year to £2.5 billion
Investment into university spinout firms almost doubled in 2021 to reach more than £2.5 billion, a Royal Academy of Engineering report has revealed.
The value of investments secured by university spinout firms rose by 69.3 per cent between 2020 and 2021, hitting a high of £2.54bn. It is the highest on record since 2012, and a rise from £405 million recorded that year.
