Current head of UUK International will take over from Alistair Jarvis in May
Vivienne Stern has been appointed as the new chief executive of Universities UK, and will take up the role when Alistair Jarvis stands down at the end of May.
Stern is currently director of Universities UK International, the part of UUK that represents universities on international issues—a post she took up in 2014. She was awarded an MBE for services to international education in the New Years’ Honours List 2022, and has held a number of roles in UUK since joining in 2001.
