The usual suspects dominate the top of the table for REF results in clinical medicine
The UK’s biggest universities have come out on top in the Research Professional News league table for clinical medicine, following the results of the 2021 Research Excellence Framework.
Submissions to the REF are broken down across 34 topic areas, or units of assessment. While large universities with expertise dominate the rankings on the overall league table across a swathe of topics, smaller institutions can carry more weight when it comes to individual units of assessment.
