David Sweeney tackles questions over next steps after REF 2021 results published
The executive chair of Research England has said he is “confident” there will be sufficient funding to recognise universities’ Research Excellence Framework success.
Commenting on the possible tensions between funding excellence and levelling up, David Sweeney said he was “confident that we’ll have sufficient of an envelope to recognise success in the REF”.
