Public accounts committee calls on ministers and the regulator to improve financial monitoring
The Department for Education and the Office for Students have been strongly criticised in a public accounts committee report into the financial stability of England’s higher education sector.
In a report published on 15 June, the cross-party group of MPs said it did not believe the OfS had shown sufficient progress in “getting a grip on the long-term systemic challenges facing the sector and individual providers”.
