But survey finds intellectual property revenues are down year on year
There was a 16 per cent year-on-year increase in the number of startup companies founded by UK graduates in 2020-21, data from the Higher Education Statistics Agency show.
According to the results of the latest Higher Education—Business and Community Interaction (HE-BCI) survey, some 4,528 new spinoff and startup companies were founded in the UK by graduates last year. There is now a total of more than 15,500 active graduate startup firms employing more than 46,000 people (full-time equivalent) in the UK, the survey reports.
