NUS says letter on university fossil-fuel links has been ‘ignored’

Union complains it is still awaiting response to open letter on institutions’ company links

The National Union of Students has criticised what it said was “100 days of silence” since it called on universities and colleges to break links with companies it says “uphold colonialism and imperialism”.

In March, the union wrote to Universities UK (UUK) and the Association of Colleges (AoC), calling on their members to stop investing in and partnering with “fossil fuel and arms companies”.
