Universities urged to act on digital carbon footprint

Jisc report calls on institutions to look closely at how technology use creates carbon emissions

Universities need to better understand the way in which their use of digital technology increases carbon emissions, according to a report.

According to Jisc, the higher education technology firm, universities and colleges could do more to monitor and measure energy usage, and should carry out data usage audits to identify wasted data usage.
