‘Hasty’ job decisions leave graduates wanting to quit

    

Pandemic upheaval likely behind rise in last year’s graduates looking to leave jobs, survey suggests

Fears over the state of employment during the pandemic led last year’s graduates to make “hasty decisions” on their careers, leaving 40 per cent already looking to leave their jobs.

Findings from the Early Careers Survey 2022, run by the career service Prospects, show that around 40 per cent of graduates who left university in 2021 are planning to leave their employer this year. Overall, around 30 per cent of the 5,000 students and graduates surveyed said they were thinking of quitting their jobs in 2022.
