Matt Western tells UUK that Labour will announce funding policy shortly
Labour’s shadow higher education minister Matt Western has told vice-chancellors that the party remains committed to its 2019 manifesto pledge to scrap tuition fees in England.
Speaking at the Universities UK annual conference at the University of Leicester on 8 September, Western added that Labour is working on its plans for university funding and would unveil them “shortly”.
