Centre is set to help north-east become a “major hub” of space innovation

Northumbria University has secured £50 million to create a space skills, research and technology centre.

The Newcastle-based university said the centre will bring together industry and academia to collaborate internationally on significant space research and technological developments. It added the centre will become a “catalyst” for the wider development of the UK space sector in the north-east region.
