Learn Network says statutory duty of care would address “weak and uncertain boundaries”

A network for the families of students who have died by suicide has repeated calls for the government to introduce a statutory duty of care for universities, saying it had “created more confusion”.

In a blog post, the Lived Experience for Action Right Now (Learn) network of bereaved families urged the government to “establish a legal duty of care that helps all students whether they are suffering, struggling, or seeking to thrive”.
