Phil Taylor will replace Ian White in the summer
University of Bristol pro vice-chancellor for research and Innovation, Phil Taylor, has been named as the next vice-chancellor and president of the University of Bath.
Taylor, a renowned energy systems expert, spent several years at the University of Newcastle as dean of its Institute for Sustainability and then head of the School of Engineering. He was appointed pro vice-chancellor for research and enterprise at Bristol in July 2020, a role that included oversight of preparations for the Research Excellence Framework.
