Cambridge funds five AI projects focused on benefiting society

Projects apply artificial intelligence to issues including fertility, climate change and mental health

The University of Cambridge has revealed the five projects it will fund as part of an initiative to change the way it carries out research into artificial intelligence.

The winning ideas were chosen as part of the university’s AI@Cam mission to drive AI innovations that will benefit society and to communicate this better to the public. “Each project exemplifies the public value that AI@Cam champions in AI research,” a statement from the university said.
