UCU boss says further UK assessment boycotts possible

Jo Grady tells education committee that a “proper review” of funding is required

Universities have taken insufficient action to prevent another UK marking and assessment boycott akin to the one that took place last year, the head of the University and College Union has said.

At a 6 February session for the House of Commons education committee inquiry into the impact of last year’s industrial action, UCU general secretary Jo Grady was asked if she felt another boycott was on the cards.
