Ministerial letter suggests all landlords will be able to evict students when academic year ends
The National Union of Students has described the government’s Renters (Reform) bill as a “hollow shell of what it once was” after a ministerial letter suggested that plans to allow landlords to evict students are to be widened.
In a letter sent to Conservative Party members, levelling-up minister Jacob Young said the bill would enable all landlords who let to students to evict tenants at the end of their academic year.
