CBI member “put plans for R&I on hold” as universities see falling EU postgraduate researchers

British businesses and universities say they are struggling to attract researchers from the EU due to the government’s current immigration rules.

Concerns were raised at an event held at the University of Birmingham on 13 March to encourage applications to the EU’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme, which the UK joined on 1 January.
