Universities ‘want out’ of costly Teachers’ Pension Scheme

  

UUK and Ucea call for review of participation in TPS, with costs set to soar

Universities UK and the Universities and Colleges Employers Association have written to higher education minister Robert Halfon to express their concerns about the affordability of the Teachers’ Pension Scheme.

On 1 April, employer contributions to the scheme are set to rise in England and Wales by five percentage points, to 28.68 per cent of salaries.
