Funding council confirms expected decrease following budget cuts

Teaching funding for universities in Scotland for 2024-25 has been cut by almost £30 million year-on-year, the Scottish Funding Council has announced.

Publishing indicative university funding allocations on 18 April, the SFC said it had been given a “challenging funding settlement, which necessitates difficult choices”.
