House of Lords leader promises update on government investigation into university collaboration

The UK government “will not accept collaborations that compromise our national security”, the leader of the House of Lords has said in a debate around UK universities’ involvement in the development of Iranian drones.

Last year, the government launched an investigation into allegations that a number of UK universities had collaborated with Iranian counterparts on research related to drone technology.
