Royal Society and British Academy urge government to spend more on understanding education
The UK government needs to raise levels of investment in educational research, the British Academy and Royal Society have said.
In 2021/22, educational research at UK universities amounted to only 0.05 per cent of public spending, the two learned societies found, which was significantly lower than the approximate 1.7 per cent of public spending into health research.
