Action short of a strike also due to commence next month

Staff at the University of Winchester have voted to strike over what they term “drastic job cuts” unless the university halts plans to cut academic staff numbers and addresses concerns about workload.

Some 79 per cent of University and College Union members who voted backed a strike, on a turnout of 59 per cent. Staff are now set to walk out on 4 June.
