Admissions service announces package of measures to remove financial barriers to higher education in Britain

The Universities and Colleges Admissions Service has launched a package of measures to remove barriers for lower-income students to apply for higher education at British universities.

Students applying for next year who are receiving free school meals will no longer have to pay the £28.50 fee to apply for university, as part of the initiatives announced by Ucas on 10 May.
