UCU staff strike over multiple complaints

Alleged inaction on workplace racism among complaints of striking University and College Union staff

Staff at the University and College Union have gone on strike over a range of issues, including a complaint that their employer has not dealt with workplace racism.

Those striking on 30 May, who are members of the union Unite, are calling for an independent investigation into what they allege is “institutional racism” at the UCU.
