University of East Anglia’s vice-chancellor hopes more peaceful nature of UK protests will continue
Protests on the scale of those being held in the US over the Israel-Hamas war could occur on UK campuses, the vice-chancellor of the University of East Anglia has warned.
Speaking to the BBC on 1 May, David Maguire said that while the scale and nature of protests at UK universities had not escalated in the manner of some in North America, higher education institutions were monitoring the situation on their campuses.
