More than half of UK’s postgraduate taught media students come from other countries, report says
Media studies courses in the UK will be “at risk” if there is a decline in the number of international students entering the country, research by the British Academy has found.
According to a report published by the academy on 11 June, 54 per cent of postgraduate taught students on UK media, screen, journalism and communication studies courses were domiciled outside the country in 2021. The number of non-EU-domiciled students in these fields grew by 106 per cent between 2012 and 2021, it said.
