We return to Royal Dalton University, formerly the North by North West Midlands Institute and Technical College, now one of the UK’s busiest higher education providers, for another episode of our documentary series.
Narrator: It’s 10am on another demanding day at Royal Dalton. Graeme Abernethy, associate dean of research in the faculty of science, is taking a tour of the new Thomas Malthus Innovation Block.
Graeme: We are very proud of this new building with its state-of-the-art facilities. The university has shown great faith in science. Yes, it’s true that we’ve had to build over the staff car park and now everyone has to use the local multi-storey at the cost of £15 a day, but that also helps to reduce our carbon footprint.
