Bolt on credit

On 4 December our Research Professional News colleague Chris Parr broke the story that Andrea Jenkyns—a Conservative Party candidate in the election and MP in the last parliament—was being paid £25,000 a year by the University of Bolton to direct a think tank, which does not yet exist. Subsequent reporting by The Guardian revealed that the vice-chancellor of Bolton, George Holmes, made a private donation of £2,000 to Jenkyns.
