In 2019, society faces many challenges. Demographic change, global health, security and climate change loom large. Questions regarding the shape of the UK economy and the sustainability of global economies remain pressing. We must move to clean growth and be responsible in realising the potential of disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence. Brexit dominates the public consciousness, creating uncertainty and anxiety.
