Even as we continue to battle the coronavirus pandemic, the climate crisis looms large. COP26, the United Nations Climate Change Conference set for Glasgow in November, will bring the issue into sharp focus. Activists and governments alike are working to seize this moment.
Speaking at January’s Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Forum 2021, Mark Carney, the former governor of the Bank of England who is now working on climate finance with both the UN and prime minister Boris Johnson, described the coming year as “absolutely crucial”.
