Dropping higher ed
Andrea Jenkyns has officially been named as minister for skills, but ‘higher education’ has been scrapped from her title. The Department for Education confirmed that Jenkyns will have responsibility for higher education quality, widening participation, student finance, the government’s proposed lifelong-loan entitlement and the Turing Scheme.
