How will the UK approach association to the next EU R&D programme?

The UK’s researchers now have yet another reason—as if any more were needed—to be relieved that the country’s exile from European research and development programmes is over. 

The news that South Korea has agreed a deal to join the Horizon Europe scheme, likely to take effect next year, will open doors to valuable partnerships with researchers from a country that regularly places in the top two worldwide for spending on R&D as a percentage of GDP.
