Former White House science adviser dies

Former President George W. Bush’s sometimes controversial science advisor, John Marburger, died of non-Hodgkins lymphoma on 28 July aged 70.

The White House’s science advisor, John Holdren, noted that Marburger was the nation’s longest-serving presidential science advisor, from 2001 to 2009.
