Research fraud accusation

A Danish researcher working for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention who stole grant funds from 2004 through February 2010 has been put on the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Inspector General’s Most Wanted Fugitives list. Poul Thorsen “executed a scheme to steal grant money” awarded by CDC to government agencies in Denmark for research, the OIG claims. The US is seeking Thorsen’s extradition from Denmark.
