The Coalition on National Security Research (CNSF), a group of scientific organisations that lobby for a strong defence science and technology base, is urging the Deficit Reduction Committee to recognise the value of defence research to the nation.
The Department of Defense’s (DOD) science and technology portfolio was “the incubator for the next generation of national security technologies,” CNSF asserted in a recent letter to the committee’s members.
