Senate appropriators have proposed providing the Education Department with $1 million to commission a National Research Council (NRC) study of the impact of federal regulations and reporting requirements on universities and colleges.
The funds are included in fiscal year 2013 appropriations proposed on 14 June by the Senate appropriations subcommittee that funds the Education Department and other agencies such as the National Institutes of Health.
