Creation of US Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations split responsibilities for R&D, Republicans complain
Republican politicians have raised concerns about the Department of Energy’s management of its R&D portfolio, after its creation of a new office led to responsibilities being split between leaders.
Frank Lucas (pictured) and Brandon Williams of the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology wrote to the Department of Energy on 5 May to request more information on its Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations. Lucas chairs the committee, while Williams chairs its energy subcommittee.
