Congressional leaders agree 2024 research spending

Funding for agencies including National Science Foundation among six bills in bipartisan deal

Congressional leaders have agreed 2024 federal budgets for major research funding organisations including the National Science Foundation.

Republican and Democratic heads of the Senate and House of Representatives, plus several of their committees, reached the agreement on 28 February. It will now go to both chambers of Congress for review and voting.
