Darpa to grow cyber research investment by 50%

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (Darpa) plans to increase its investment in cyber research from 8 per cent to 12 per cent of its budget over the next five years, the agency’s director, Regina Dugan, announced at a 7 November colloquium.

Darpa has steadily increased its cyber research efforts since 2009. The agency has requested $208 million for the field in fiscal year 2012, an increase of $88m.
