Nearly $7 million in research and development funding to reduce the costs of electric vehicle chargers has been awarded by the Department of Energy.
The funding, to four firms in California, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania, will help improve the development and design of charging equipment—reducing the costs of electric vehicle chargers by 50 per cent over the next three years.
