Over two-thirds of federal agencies and departments have failed to release draft or final scientific integrity policies in time to meet the deadline set by the White House, according to the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS).
A total of 19 departments and agencies were expected to submit final draft scientific integrity policies by 17 December—a deadline set last October—but only six delivered, the organisation said. It called for the president to hold the agencies that have not yet released policies to account.
