USAID network will help universities tackle development issues

The US Agency for International Development has launched a $26 million Higher Education Solutions Network in which seven top American and foreign universities will create “Development Labs” to solve international development problems.

Participating universities will work with USAID’s field mission experts and staff in Washington, DC to use science and technology to address issues such as global health, food security and chronic conflict, the agency announced on 9 November.
