Navy research ship named after Armstrong

The Navy is naming one of its research vessels after the late Neil Armstrong, the astronaut who was the first man to walk on the moon.

The vessel is the first Armstrong-class Auxiliary General Oceanographic Research (AGOR) ship, Navy Secretary Ray Mabus announced on 24 September.
