Perry: Carbon dioxide ‘isn’t driving’ climate change

Department of Energy head Rick Perry said during a TV show that the oceans and the environment, not carbon dioxide, were the primary forces behind changes in the Earth’s temperature and climate.

During a 19 June appearance on CNBC, Perry was asked if he believed carbon dioxide was the primary ‘control knob’ for Earth’s temperature and climate. Perry said no.

“Most likely the primary control knob is the ocean waters and the environment we live in,” Perry said.
