EPA officially embraces climate change skepticism

The Environmental Protection Agency is to organize a group of experts to question widely accepted theories on the role of human activity in driving climate change.

EPA secretary Scott Pruitt described the exercise to a meeting of coal industry lobbyists and executives on 29 June, according to news reports.

The exercise is based on the “red team/blue team” model used by the military, in which a small group is tasked with finding weaknesses in tactics or battle plans.
