Science committee chair pushes for multi-year Nasa budget

US space agency should not be taken for granted, senator warns Congress

Nasa should be given a multi-year budget for the first time in over a decade, according to the chair of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation.

Democratic senator Maria Cantwell (pictured) said at a hearing last week that she will push for such a budget to be passed for the US space agency in the current term of Congress, following a single-year authorisation last year.
